Multiple hole resizing in Altium Designer
Altium has a convenient, but little bit hidden instrument for bunch changing of hole sizes.
Example
I have got a draft boards with some vias different vias, so let's look at the all existing (include in footprints) in this board hole sizes, what especially useful, when you get PCB design as is:
Go to Panels -> PCB -> Hole Size Editor:
Now you can see all hole sizes (including slots):
Each via could be revised, so you can catch unusual or unwanted element:
If you won't review and change vias in footprints change Condition Primitive Type to Show Vias:
Usually, in the simple board used not too many types of vias, typically:
- 0.3/0.6
- 0.2/0.4
So, you can see in this board some strange value. Some too small (0.1 mm, 0.175 mm) should be violated during DRC, because typical PCB. Another has non-standard value, this means more likely on the factory they will be changed to closest value, maybe with question from manufacturer.
Templates for vias
For clear board it's recommended to use templates (v60h30, v40h20) for vias and don't do not produce many different values unnecessarily. Another window will help to review and change all existing via templates in Pad & Via Templates:
